KAIROS, the Social development organ of the diocese of Kannur is in the 10th year of its operation. The target population covers the marginalized and socially economically backward youth who have the willingness and interest to continue the higher education. Through this project KAIROS will facilitate 264 selected youth for educational promotional activities. At present the youth cannot continue higher education because of the poor economical condition at home. They go for work as daily wage earners. The drop outs create in the community an alarming situation, for the future of the certain communities is endangered. And at the same time this project will try to generate the awareness among the 66 targeted communities regarding various concurrent issues
Approach
KAIROS is following a participatory Action-Reflection-Action approach in all our intervention areas in which all the actors of development have their own specific roles and responsibilities to perform.

KAIROS has a decentralized structure where all the partners have their own freedom and flexibility to interact with each other and to engage in development collaboration with other likeminded institutions with due emphasis on the vision and objectives realized by it.
