KAIROS (Kannur Association for Integrated Rural Organization and Support)Kannur in its Silver Jubilee year. Our dream is to celebrate this Silver Jubilee by constructing 25 houses for homeless people. We have succeeded in constructing 6 houses in Poovam Parish of Taliparamba Region. After completing these 6 houses shall be handed over to the most deserving families. The estimate cost per house is Rs. 15 lakhs and the total project cost is Rs. 90,00,000/- (Ninety Lakhs). The construction site of 30 cents land was donated by a well-wisher of KAIROS, Dr. Mathew of Kodaikkanal To make good of the number, we have supported 19 beneficiaries who are struggling to complete their houses, even after getting support through LIFE Project of State govt. and other assistances. The construction support comes to Rs. 28,45,000/- (twenty eightlakhs fourty five thousand only). We express our sincere thanks to our Bishop Most. Rev. Dr. Al;ex Vadakkumthala, for the guidance and support to this project. We extend our sincere thanks to Rev. Dr. Jilson Panakkal Our former Director, Ursuline Amala Province, Deena Sevana Sabha Generalate, Dr. Hilda from Ernakulam, , Dr. Mathew of Kodaikkanal for generously supporting this project. We are thankful to the prayerss of our well-wishers and our community for completion of the first phase of the project.
Manappuram Foundation, in collaboration with KAIROS Kannur, has launched a significant initiative to empower differently-abled individuals by providing them with four-wheelers free of cost for self-employment. The program was officially inaugurated by Kairos Kannur Director Fr. George Chempakaseril As part of the launch event, Apostol Rani Parish Vicar Fr. Jose V.C. ceremonially handed over the keys of a vehicle to Sree Joseph, a member of the Apostol Rani Parish. Kanhangad Regional Coordinator Bincy Shaju, along with Sunil Joseph and Nita Gilbert, also addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of inclusive development and sustainable livelihood opportunities. This initiative reflects a continued commitment to social responsibility and the empowerment of marginalized communities through meaningful support and resources.

Under the leadership of Kannur Kairos, two-wheelers were distributed to 31 women under the leadership of Kannur Kairos as part of the Women on Wheels project which is being implemented with 50% subsidy through NGO Confederation. In the program held on Saturday 28.09.24 at 2.30 pm at Pallikulam Honda Showroom, Kairos Director Rev. Fr. George Mathew presided. The Honorable Minister of Antiquities Registration Department Mr. Ramachandran Kadanapalli inaugurated the event. Chirakal Gram Panchayat President, Mrs. Shruti P and Vice President Anil Kumar gave their greetings. NGO Confederation Kannur District Secretary Shri Baiju welcomed everyone. Honda showroom workers and Kairos workers led the program.

The Diocese of Kannur organized a May Day celebration and workers' meeting under the leadership of the Kerala Labor Movement (KLM) and Kairos Kannur. The event was held at St. Joseph's College Auditorium, Pilathara, and was inaugurated by Mr. Rajmohan Unnithan, Member of Parliament for the Kasaragod Constituency. The May Day message was delivered by the Bishop of Kannur, Most Rev. Dr. Alex Vadakkumthala. KLM Kannur President Mr. Peter Kolakad also graced the occasion. Speeches were given by Kairos Director Fr. George Mathew and KLM Kannur Secretary Ms. Gracy Boniface. KLM State Director Rev. Fr. Arun Valiyathazhathu provided an overview of the various welfare schemes offered by KLM. Reverend Father Alex honored Mr. Lawrence Chettan, a veteran labor leader who has been working tirelessly for construction workers since 1961, with a memento in recognition of his service. The program was led by members of the KLM Diocesan Unit and the Kairos staff.
