The KOLPING groups of the Mariapuram Unit — L M Zukol, Daughters of Zukol, and Mother Petra — led the Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m. on 26 October 2025. The celebration was presided over by Rev Fr. Jomon Chempakasheril, Director of KAIROS, who was the main celebrant of the Eucharist. <p style="text-align: justify;">Following the Mass, a general meeting was held at the Mariapuram Auditorium. Animator Mrs Alice Boushad extended a warm welcome to the gathering, after which Parish Vicar Rev. Fr. Roy Nedunthanam presided over the session. Mrs. Suja Varghese presented the annual report, highlighting the key activities and achievements of the unit.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting was formally inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jomon Chempakasheril, who also delivered the keynote address, inspiring members to continue their mission with dedication and faith. Subsequently, General Coordinator K. V. Chandran led an informative session on the various projects and initiatives of Kairos. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">In the later part of the meeting, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the following key topics: </p> <ol> <li> The present status of the Kairos Mariapuram Unit</li> <li> Our strengths and limitations</li> <li> Exploitation in the economic sector</li> <li> Social renewal initiatives</li> <li> The younger generation and educational advancement </li> </ol> <p style="text-align: justify;">The event concluded with Regional Coordinator Mrs. Lajitha Joy delivering the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the day’s programme.</p>

KLM KAIROS- Empower Craft As part of the labour employment empowerment initiative led by the Kerala Labour Movement (KLM) State Committee, five KLM beneficiaries were provided with free sewing machines through KLM Kannur Diocese. The distribution event took place on 27.09.25 at the KAIROS Training Hall. The program was presided over by KLM Diocesan President Mr. Peter Kollakkad and was inaugurated by His Excellency Alex Vadakumthala, Bishop of Kannur Diocese. Kairos Director Rev. Fr. George Mathew, KAIROS General Coordinator Mr. K.V. Chandran, HR Manager Mr. P.J. Francis, and Regional Coordinator Mr. M.V. Chandran addressed the gathering. Around 35 KAIROS members from different regions of Kannur, who are part of the KLM movement, participated in the program.

As part of the employment empowerment initiative led by the Kerala Labour Movement (KLM) State Committee, 10 beneficiaries were provided with goats through KLM KAIROS, Kannur. The distribution event took place at the premises of St. Laboure Church, Kurumathur. The program was presided over by KLM Diocesan President Mr. Peter Kollakkad and was inaugurated by KAIROS Director Rev. Fr. George Mathew. KAIROS General Coordinator Mr. K.V. Chandran, HR Manager Mr. P.J. Francis, Office Secretary Ms. Jessy Reji, Regional Coordinator Ms. Lajitha Joy, KLM Diocesan Vice President Mr. Sebastian A., and Ms. Sneha prakash also addressed the gathering.

Manappuram Foundation, in collaboration with KAIROS Kannur, has launched a significant initiative to empower differently-abled individuals by providing them with four-wheelers free of cost for self-employment. The program was officially inaugurated by Kairos Kannur Director Fr. George Chempakaseril As part of the launch event, Apostol Rani Parish Vicar Fr. Jose V.C. ceremonially handed over the keys of a vehicle to Sree Joseph, a member of the Apostol Rani Parish. Kanhangad Regional Coordinator Bincy Shaju, along with Sunil Joseph and Nita Gilbert, also addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of inclusive development and sustainable livelihood opportunities. This initiative reflects a continued commitment to social responsibility and the empowerment of marginalized communities through meaningful support and resources.
