KLM Kshemanidhi Programme

Kerala Labour Movement (KLM) is a welfare programme under the CBCI is catering to the labourers in the construction sector, domestic workers, tailors, artisans like carpenters etc. One of the important programme undertaken by the department in KAIROS is enrolling as many possible workers from the unorganized sector as possible into government Kshemanidhi programme. KAIROS has succeeded to enroll 1058 of traditional workers and domestic workers including men and women in the Kshemanidhi Programme. The government has recognized the enrollment as in the case of other registered trade unions.

Kshemanidhi – More than 1058 Unorganized workers falling in the categories of construction workers, tailoring workers, domestic workers, artisans workers and 1023 workers have been enrolled in the Government Welfare Fund, the highest being shops and establishment workers.
